Microsoft`s InXile hunts software lead for `next-gen` AAA single-player RPG

inXile is one of the most exciting studios Microsoft recently acquired, and it looks like they`re ready to step it up a notch for next-gen. InXile Entertainment is an RPG-specialist led by the legendary Brian Fargo of Fallout fame. Microsoft picked the team up a couple of years ago to help grow its internal stable of game developers, addressing one of the biggest criticisms of Xbox throughout this generation. InXile is known recently for games like Torment: Tides of Numenera and Bard`s Tale IV and the team is planning to ship Wasteland 3 next year, which already looks like a big leap in quality over previous efforts from the comparatively small studio. It`s looking as though the acquisition is already boosting possibilities for InXile, with new career opportunities (thanks Klobrille) that point to plans for next-gen systems.
